So Diva or “Divapro” are a real British success story. They have only been in operation a few years but are growing rapidly. They design, manufacture and provide hair care products for salons throughout the UK as well as 30 other countries. They are mostly known for selling products to professional salons but you can also purchase them for your home. Being mostly sold in salons does tell us a few things though. Their hairdryers should be powerful, robust and built to last. It also tells us they probably cost a bit more than your normal hairdryer. We will be looking for things we usually look for in normal hairdryers but we will be expecting them to be a bit better. Power, design, features, good option of settings, attachments and things like whether they are Ionic or not. Lets roll up our sleeves and see if salon quality really does work at home.

Diva Styling Ultima 5000 Pro Hairdryer

So the Ultima 5000 seems to be Divas biggest selling and most popular hairdryer. It comes in various colours and various prices depending on said colours. It boasts a wealth of features including:

Diva state you should get over 1000 hours use minimum which is crazy long. There is also noise reduction technology built in as well as a safety cut off incase things get too warm. Practically everything you could want in a hairdryer then.
What we liked about the Diva Ultima 5000 Pro
Like being in a wind tunnel. Yeah thats probably an accurate statement in regards to the Ultima 5000. This hairdryer is packing some serious power and massively reduces hair drying time even if you have thick coarse hair. It comes in 4 eye catching colours of purple, pink, black and red. The Ionic technology & Ceramic grille leaves hair with a great frizz free smooth finish. It also has that solid quality feel and weighs 700 grams. Having 4 heat settings really gives you full control of what temp you find comfortable when drying. We are also pleasantly surprised at the price. Its retail price is £100 but we have only ever seen it cheaper than that. Its an amazing hairdryer for that kind of price. As you probably guessed we are seriously impressed with this hairdryer and can see why salons everywhere are using it. It is a real salon quality professional hairdryer.
What’s not to like about the Diva Ultima 5000 Pro
So a couple of very small things. Diva state this has noise reducing technology built in. It still is a bit louder than a normal hairdryer. At the same time though, for the power it is outputting we think its a worthy trade off.

What we like about the Diva Forte 6000 Pro
So the Diva Forte 6000 is what we would describe as the butt kicker of the range. The sledge hammer. Like taking the base model and just dialling everything to the max. The power on this hairdryer is crazy. Luckily it comes with 8 heat settings to at least give you control of everything. The lowest temperature is 40°C and the highest goes up to 120°C. Price wise it comes in around the £100 mark and as we say, is the most expensive dryer in our list. Its another great hairdryer from Diva.

Diva Styling Veloce 3800 Pro Hairdryer

What we like about the Diva Veloce 3800 Pro
Although its one of the older dryers in the Diva range there is still a lot to like about the Veloce 3800. Because of its age you should be able to pick it up pretty cheap compared to a few years ago ( around £60 nowadays). It is not hard to see that Diva have used all the good things of the Veloce and improved them in the excellent Diva Ultima 5000 we reviewed above. Dont let that make you simply dismiss the Veloce though. Its 2000w motor still packs a punch and the Ionic features still leave hair with a smooth frizz free finish. The weight comes in at 633 grams so its pretty lightweight. The rubberised finish also makes it extremely durable so its perfect for home or a salon.

Diva Styling Rapida 3700 Pro Hairdryer

So if you have ever looked into the Diva Rapida then you have probably got confused with all the different model numbers. Lets clear this up. The Diva Rapida 3600 was the first release and you will struggle to find it for purchase these days. Then they upgraded to the Diva Rapida 3700. The latest model is the Diva Rapida 4000 and comes with 15% more power, 15% more airflow and is 5% quieter than the Rapida 3700. We are looking at the Rapida 3700 here but you will also be able to purchase the Rapida 4000 if you do not mind paying a bit extra for the improvements we listed. The 3700 should be had for around £60. Lets start on the Rapida 3700 then:

Again this is another high quality powerful hairdryer from Divapro. As with all the Diva hairdryers, there is a big selection of colours to choose from. The power that this dryer produces is also excellent and the Ionic technology features provide a brilliant frizz reducing smooth finish.
What we did not like about the Diva Rapida 3700 Pro
Whilst the Rapida 3700 is a bit louder than a standard hairdryer due to its professional AC motor the Rapida 4000 is meant to be quieter so go with it if noise is an issue.

What we like about the Diva Dynamica 4000 Pro
So the Diva Dynamica 4000 is this lightest hairdryer we reviewed. The dryer itself weighs 462 grams but is obviously heavier if you factor in the 3 meter long power cable. The ceramic and tourmaline front grille coated in macadamia oil, argan oil and keratin feature did leave hair feeling and looking great. Price wise it comes in around the £50 mark so its another bargain for the quality you get.
What we did not like about the Diva Dynamica 4000 Pro
Although much stronger than a normal hairdryer, we felt the Dynamica had the weakest airflow of all the Divas reviewed. Its still very good but we think the lower weight causes it. We also felt because it is a compact barrel that it tended to get a little bit hotter than the long barrel types.

Final Verdict
So the first conclusion we have came to with the Diva range is they are all very similar. Rather than being a negative though, its actually a massive positive as they are all great hairdryers. They all have great power and are all Ionic with Ceramic & Tourmaline technology for destroying frizz. They also all have a long 3 meter power cable. We can see why they are so popular in salons. They are that similar its very hard to say this or that one is the best. The Diva Ultima 5000 seems to be the most popular and biggest seller so that probably says a lot. We can honestly say you will be happy no matter whichever one you buy.
